Nick Cass Speaks At Newcastle's Latest Monthly Meeting

A well attended meeting saw Nick Cass, a BNP activist of 20 years, former Yorkshire Regional Organiser and father of the BNP's 2010 election leaflet family speak at the latest meeting held in the Newcastle Central constituency.

The meeting was opened by Newcastle organiser and former North East Regional Organiser Ken Booth with a summary of the previous meeting and explaining to those who had not heard, about his sacking, which everyone agreed yet again, that it was simply ridiculous.

Although some of the attendees had already heard, the meeting was told of how many of the companies to whom the BNP owed money had been sent a letter, telling them how they will only be offered 20p for every pound they are owed.

This was met with disbelief and embarrassment.

Ken explained, "These include family owned businesses as well as sole traders, and because the people at the top can't write a budget on the back of a beermat, central party raised millions, spent virtually nothing on the General Election and still landed us deep into the red - It is these already struggling small businesses and the people behind them who have to suffer.

"This goes against everything I stand for. We must honour all our debts.

"This is a party which is supposed to be looking out for the small businesses over the transnational corporations."

“The present chairman should shoulder his responsibilities and tender his resignation for the mess and embarrassment he has caused our party. Its is no good pointing the finger at others who he appointed to positions for our failure he must take ultimate responsibility.

This was followed by a show of hands with about 95% agreeing that Nick Griffin should stand down as chairman of the party.

There was also an appeal for candidates to come forward for next years elections in May, as unfortunately many have either decided to leave the party or put activities on hold until the issues regarding the party leadership have been resolved.

The BNP's Tynemouth candidate in the General election, Dorothy Brooke stood up to say a few words, mainly to register her disgust with the party leadership regarding the sacking of Ken Booth, as well as notifying the meeting that she will be petitioning for his reinstatement, an idea which proved to be very popular amongst the meeting-goers.

After the buffet and raffle, Nick Cass addressed the meeting, telling those attending of his 20 years of service to British nationalism.

He went on to say that the colonisation by foreigners, importing alien cultures and transforming huge areas, is not just a problem in Britain, but a problem in the whole Western world.

The spectators heard of the problems regarding colonisation that Mr. Cass had witnessed whilst travelling around Europe before speaking about his Yorkshire home of Dewsbury.

The no go zones for native Brits in areas of Yorkshire, especially certain areas in Bradford, means that Mr. Cass was correct in saying that, "The people of Newcastle have seen nothing yet, and it will only get worse."

The raffle and a collection at the meeting raised over £110 which will be used for producing local leaflets.

I have to ask if inviting one of the very negative reform duo is the best way to boost morale? Could it be the association with that small group of individuals that's turning your branch members off?

One of the reasons why Britain is sliding down the tubes is because of our attraction to anything negative.

I do not think that putting a petition in is a bad thing, but bringing in someone that wants to use the meeting to promote a rival party is a mistake.

I hope you sort things out with Ken and the Leadership, so that you can get back on track.

There was no promotion of any other party.

Nick Cass is an excellent activist and and regardless of his views on the leadership it was a pleasure to have him up and telling us about what is happening in Yorkshire.

Our branch members are getting annoyed with the leadership - no doubt about it.

well attended means that alot of people attended the meeting.

Excellent meeting. It should be clarified that Nick cass did not use his speech to promote BNP reform, only to discuss the issues facing Britain.

In fact he mentioned at the beginning of his speech that he would not be using the meeting to discuss internal party issues, but to enlighten people of the issues facing them in the North East.

Perhaps if any of the loud anti-Griffin protestors had bothered to turn up yesterday, they would have been able to put their questions to him. As it was, not one of them did. They avoid an open discussion and prefer instead to whisper in ears. Ask yourselves who would benefit from seeing our members told half-truths and rumours so they become disheartened and leave? The people who attended on Saturday asked tough but legitimate questions, seeking and receiving both sides of the stories. Anybody not having both sides of the story is really not in a position to judge and certainly not in a position to call for anybody's resignation.

I don't think any body wanted to go and ask him questions because you will just get the same answers.

I'm 100% behind the BNP but I am not behind Nick Griffin. I am not anti-griffin, I just don't rate him as a leader.

Yes, Nick was in the North East on Saturday. This was a training day that was opened up to the wider membership, with only a dozen or so turning up. Did it ever occur that most members in the North East are a little tired of Nick’s spin and had better things to do with their time rather listen to excuses?

Andrew Brons spoke in the North East the next day at a meeting that started at the same time as the Newcastle v Sunderland derby match. Around 60 people turned out, which I was pleased with during these difficult times and competing with the football.

We are rallying round the BNP, We are 100% behind the party.

As for the sacking of the Regional Organiser the day before the Advisory Council meeting he called for. Even if the reason was valid he could have been sacked in January and well before the General Election. This is also a display of double standards. By the same standards Nick should have also resigned.

It is obvious to anyone with a brain that Nick did not want Ken Booth at that meeting where the accounts were going to be made open for inspection.

It is all right you saying everything will be fine, we have a plan to sort everything out. The fact is we should never have been in this position in the first place and Nick as chairman should take and shoulder his responsibilities and step down as party leader.
