Twinings, which manufactures tea on Tyneside are about to sack 263 people before moving their plant to Poland to cut costs and increase profits.
Company bosses have also had the audacity to ask their soon to be unemployed staff if they would like to help train their Polish replacements when they come to Tyneside to begin training.
One employee, who did not want to be named, told the Evening Chronicle: “It’s rubbing salt in the wound because they are taking our jobs yet we have to train them."
A representative of Twinings explained how there would be two waves of employees from Poland visiting North Shields for three weeks at a time.

If jobs are not being taken by foreigners in this country, they are being taken by foreigners abroad... Globalisation only helps make the rich richer and our government needs to step in!!
Well we all know what to do buy another brand, let them teach the Poles to drink tea as well, because they are not going to sell any in Great Britain.Getting sick to death of all the media going on about how the Polish saved us in the Battle of Britain, ask why we went to war and to the cost of 395,000 of our young men.
Our Government are part of the plot, they won't step in.
