Lib-Con Alliance Continue To Neglect North East
The Vickers tank factory in Scotswood, Newcastle has been overlooked by the government yet again regarding contracts which would save people's jobs in the North East.
The coalition government has instead decided to hand the contract to a factory in Wales despite over a third of the Vickers's workforce being at a serious risk of redundancy.
A worker in his early twenties who asked not to be named said, "I worked for peanuts for years to gain the qualifications needed to do this job.
"And because I am younger and less experienced than many of my colleagues, I'll be one of the first to go.
"What a waste of time."
