BNP Road Show Hits Newcastle With A Bang

Last night Newcastle played host to the BNP election Road show.

Joey Smith and Dave Eales (2BE) started the evening's entertainment by singing some well known songs which the audience sang along too.

A very inspiring speech from Nick Griffin MEP followed and included information about the lifted membership ban and the war in Afghanistan.

There were a few emotional moments as he told how the parents of rifleman Martin Kingett, who sadly never made it back from Afghanistan alive, were out leafleting and canvassing on behalf of the BNP, just to try and take their mind off their loss.

Mr. Griffin ended his speech by stating that Tony Blair and Gordon Brown should be put on trial, to rapturous applause and cheering from the audience.

After the buffet and auction where fellow BNP member, Steven Spence won a signed picture of Nick Griffin MEP and Andrew Brons MEP after bidding £150, '2BE' rounded off the night with sing alongs of many different songs such as Jerusalem and It's A Long Way To Tipperary which saw everyone join in and wave their BNP flags.

Overall a very enjoyable night which was a huge success, enjoyed by all, raised thousands of pounds and signed up more candidates for the local elections in May.

BNP - Open For Business

Not long after the court ruled that the BNP were not allowed to enforce home visits to new members, the constitution was changed and the party is now accepting membership applications.

It is disgusting that a taxpayer funded organisation can meddle in the affairs of the governments opposition and in a sense, slightly fascist.

However, at half time The EHRC were leading 1-0 but two late goals makes the final score BNP 2, EHRC 1... Hard lines Trevor.

Labour Councillors Questioned By Police As Newcastle BNP Campaign In Fenham

There was a phenomenal response as the Newcastle Central campaign gathered momentum in the promising ward of Fenham, tainted only by elected Labour councillors being up to their dirty tricks again.

The popular information stall was accompanied by huge banners around the busy crossroads, making sure that every motorist passing by knew that the BNP were campaigning in the area.

Whilst receiving a lot of support from passing commuters, leafleting teams were hard at work in the nearby housing estates.

Similarly to the day of action in Elswick last week, the stall was very popular with the local shoppers with a good uptake on leaflets and information packs, and most importantly hundreds of people pledging to vote for the BNP.

Unfortunately during the day, Labour councillors, Dipu Ahad (Elswick Ward), Joyce McCarthy and Nigel Todd (Wingrove Ward) and their friends turned up and they showed the ward their undemocratic nature by covering up one of the BNP banners - most likely trying to provoke confrontation.

After the members of the Labour Party were questioned by police, most likely enquiring why they were unable to place their banner alongside their opposition's banner thus not attempting to provoke confrontation, they left the scene.

Fenham Result - January 2009 By-Election

Mitzi Emery - Lib- 1049 - 33.9% (-11%)
Helen McStravick - Lab - 1025 - 33.1% (-3%)
Ken Booth - BNP - 836 - 27.0% (+18%)
Sarah Armstrong - Cons - 186 - 6.0% (-3%)

Huge Support For Newcastle BNP In Elswick

Hundreds of 'Voice Of Freedom' Newspapers were quickly snapped up by voters in the Elswick ward of Newcastle upon Tyne and information pack requests quickly started rolling in.

The newspapers, which were stuffed with local leaflets providing information and contact details were a huge hit amongst the electorate of the ward and although they were handed out free, many supporters refused to take them without making a donation.

Support was so exceptional, shop workers from around the precinct were popping out of work whilst on their breaks to receive a copy and have a chat to the activists and Ken Booth, the prospective parliamentary candidate for Newcastle Central - the constituency where the ward of Elswick is situated.

Although the majority of people said that they have voted BNP before and will be again, something which the team found very encouraging was the large amount of people who had said that they have never voted before, or at least not for the BNP, but will definitely vote BNP this coming May.

Another aspect of the day which was very refreshing was the considerable amount of youth coming over to the stall to find out more information about the party and how to get involved, whilst stating that this is the first time they are able to vote and that they will be voting BNP.

As the stall was being packed away at around 1430 hours, two members of a far left organisation turned up and held a banner saying 'Nobody Is Illegal'. This only spurred us on and compelled us to stay, and watching the extremists get shunned by the general public made it very worthwhile.

Elswick Result - 1st May 2008

Doreen James - Labour - 933 (38.1%)
Ken Booth - BNP - 657 (27%)
Amjad Aslam - Independant - 339 (13.8%)
Andrew Mcquillin - Lib Dem - 309 (12.6%)
Ron Toward - Conservative - 179 (7.3%)
Dean Huggins - Respect - 27 - (1.1%)
