Near Capacity Monthly Meeting

Tuesday the 24th November was the monthly meeting for the Newcastle Branch of the BNP, and what a great meeting with a great atmosphere it was ! !
A very near capacity crowd of nearly 100 guest's, supporters and members braved the cold weather to flock to the venue where a warm welcome awaited them all.
Once inside they were met by Ken (regional coordinator), 5 great guest speakers, an ample free buffet and a good selection of BNP related merchandise which was made available for purchase by Ralph.
The new edition of "Voice of Freedom" was also made available for sale for the first time and a large number of these papers were sold. One BNP supporter even went as far as to purchase 10 copies just so he could give them all away to his fellow work colleague's who are also BNP supporters but could not make the meeting.

Sorry Standing Room Only ! !

After Ken had declared the meeting open and made his welcome speech, the 5 guest speakers all took turns to first explain why they support the BNP before moving on to make a speech on a wide range of current topics, share personal experiences and even share a few jokes with the audience (which added to the party atmosphere). The speakers included an American named William Jarratt, who told the meeting that after moving from The States, he joined UKIP, but became disillusioned with their economic policies and ever decreasing Euroscepticism thus decided that his home will be in the BNP.
Near the end of the meeting the raffle was drawn which included prizes of a bottle of Whisky, wine and lager.
A donation bucket was also passed around which resulted in over £230 being collected and will go towards helping Newcastle BNP fight the next general election.
After Ken declared the meeting closed I went and spoke to a few new supporters for a little feedback. The new supporters I questioned stated that this had been their first BNP meeting and had thoroughly enjoyed themselves, I then asked if they would be attending any more of our future BNP meetings and their reply was a resounding definite "yes"

A big thank you must go to Ken for arranging these meetings because I know that he puts lot of hard work into making these meetings such a success.
