North Tyneside Council Nearing Green Light for Gypsy Camps

North Tyneside council have released their 'Core Strategy Preferred Options document' which identifies locations in which gypsy camps can be set up.

Residents of the Battle Hill and Holystone areas are the most worried about the negative consequences of gypsy camps and waste management sites being erected so close to their homes.

People are worried about the environmental issues as well as the increase in crime, anti-social behaviour and noise pollution that commonly come hand in hand with gypsy settlements which are forced on the people by the council.

There will be a by-election in Battle Hill on 30th September 2010 which the BNP will be fighting.
